On April 8, 2005, the Cincinnati, Ohio Chapter of Queen For A Day held its most recent tea party at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.  There were 13 “queens” in attendance who enjoyed an afternoon of makeovers, manicures and photos commemorating their special day.

Each queen also received a signed certificate to take home, along with her own crown, photo and special gift.  Four volunteers assisted, along with several hospital staff members.

The hospital, once again, praised the Queen For A Day organization and invited us back for another tea party later this year.

The Cincinnati chapter of Queen For A Day held its first tea party on Thursday, April 22, 2004 at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.  About 11 girls ranging in age from 3 to 17 visited during the one-hour event to have make-up and nail polish applied.

After the makeovers, each girl picked out a tiara to keep and a beautiful feather boa.  Then, each girl had their photo taken with their tiara, a banner that read “Queen For A Day”, a robe and flowers.  After their photo, they got to choose a gift from the gift table, and received a certificate naming them Queen For A Day.

Visiting royalty at the event included Tabitha Dellinger, Dream Girls USA National Teen Queen, and Jennifer Reed-White, Ohio’s 30s Beauties of America.  Additional volunteers included Linda Dellinger (Tabitha’s Mom) and Wanda Reed (Jennifer’s Mom).

Everyone in attendance had a wonderful time.  Many positive comments were received from the girls, hospital staff, parents and event volunteers.  Cincinnati Children’s has invited us back for another event, and would like to coordinate media attendance for that.  This was a very positive, beneficial event for all who participated!  We even had requests and inquiries about having an event for the boys.  So, next time, we may try to include a “Heroes” event as well.
